La Magia Brunello di Montalcino<\/p>\n
The Schwarz family have owned La M\u00e0gia since the mid-1970s. Originally from Alto Adige, they were among the first Brunello producers to estate-bottle their wines. This organic estate is farmed by second-generation Fabian; born in Montalcino, he succeeded his father in 2005. He has since redefined the estate\u2019s direction, continuing to realise the potential of this hallowed site.<\/p>\n
The farm sits high above the Abbey of Sant\u2019Animo \u2013 a UNESCO World Heritage Site \u2013 and faces south-east towards Mount Amiata. The exposure to the cold mountain winds, morning sun exposition and altitude of 400-450 metres provide a cooler microclimate, adding to the freshness, tension and energy in the wines.<\/p>\n
Power and structure are balanced with superb elegance in Brunello di Montalcino La M\u00e0gia, a remarkable wine that is aged for three years mainly in 500 litre French oak tonneaux. The colour is ruby red tending towards garnet, with typical red berry fruit opening out on the nose and in the mouth, mineral overtones, delicate spices, supported by generous acidity, restrained tannin and a long finish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
